 Institute of Aikido Winter Course

Dan, Steve, Pete and I made the journey to Reading to meet some of the students of IOA.  We received a warm welcome from the Haydn Foster.  We were very impressed by the power, skill and softness of Sensei Foster and the members of the institute in general.  I have no doubt that we have made the correct decision in affiliating to the IOA and we look forward to passing on what we have taught over the following months.

Return of the Prodigal Son & Daughter 28th May 2009

We were all so pleased to have Keith and Catherine back with us.  They left us some two years ago to move back to Salida in Colorado.  They run a club, which syllabus follows the legendary Gaku Homma's teachings.  Their improvement and abilities did not disappoint.  We were taught new weapons, katas and our trading of styles (although very similar) proved most informative.

Keith, Catherine and Dave were amongst the first of my students. A massive thanks to and cant wait to see them again.

Gradings 23rd May 2009
